Description

REDEMPTION RUN 5K-  AGAINST ADDICTION   Founded in memory of Mac Wessels & Morgan Taylor

  • "A YEAR TO REMEMBER"       Joining Families ~ Joining Hearts

Clarion Call Restoration Ministries (CCRM) is holding our fourth annual 5K. It was founded in memory of Mac Wessels and Morgan Taylor  from Salisbury, MD.  They passed from an overdose on the same day, January 13, 2017. They will be forever in our hearts.  Our first year  the Mother's of Mac and Morgan shared their stories the day of the race. They also formed  teams in their memory: Mac Attack & Mission for Morgan.

You can form your own team in memory of someone you support, or loved and lost to addiction. Name your Team, design a T shirt, bring a banner, remember your loved one and honor their memory this day. Teams can be formed on this website, or call 410-726-9430 and we will do it for you.

CCRM  is made up of all volunteers, we all work full time jobs in addition to volunteering. CCRM brings light to the topic of addiction. It is an organization that will not give up on anyone in addiction.  CCRM is persistent in helping those in need.  We want to help and won't give up on you. This is so much more than just a race.  ..  Our heart  for this run/walk is to bring awareness and to show love and support to hurting families impacted by addiction.  Addiction does not discriminate. It's time to remove all shame, embarrassment, and guilt associated with this horrible disease. We need to surround each other in love and erase the stigma of opioid addiction. We help in a variety of ways, helping buy cars, pay utility bills, rent, medical and dental bills, transportation, clothing, furniture, food, referrals for placement in detox, rehab, and housing. We have been called "the middle man" the one who fills in the gap where other organizations are unable or there are barriers because of county or state lines. We are not part of a church, we are an independent faith based organization  who has their own prayer team with a non-profit status. All of the money raised will go directly to those in addiction, or recovery , or their families. We operate from volunteers homes, so there is no overhead and extra operating expenses.

RUN/WALK with a PURPOSE

  • MEMORY -  Run/Walk or form a team in loving memory of someone you have lost to addiction.  Wear t-shirts, carry signs. Walk with others who have shared the same pain and grief. Share some hugs, and receive some healing for your heart. You are not alone
  • RECOVERY - Run/Walk and celebrate your recovery.  Run/Walk with someone you have watched walk the road to recovery. You have stood by their side, you have cried with them, you have supported all their efforts to be clean. You have rejoiced with them and cheered them on for their courage and strength to be a victor over addiction.

  • SUPPORT - Spend your morning being a part of something important to our community.
