Running 4 Our Angels 5K Run/Walk in Remembrance

The Lawzie Marigold Foundation was founded in April 2016 as a Not For Profit Organization in honor of our daughter Lauren Rae Baruch whose life was taken from us along with Amy Grabina, Brittney Schulman and Stephanie Belli in the 2015 Cutchogue Limousine accident. 
 
The purpose of the Lawzie Marigold Foundation is to continue Lauren’s influence in people’s lives by increasing awareness in our community regarding the safety issues of limousines.  We need to get more prudent regulations in place on the internal/external structure of limousines as well as mandated comprehensive training programs.  Currently, there is no formal training for limousine drivers.  It only takes one decision and your loved one’s life can be changed forever.

On behalf of the 8 Families and Our 4 Angels it is with great honor to thank all who have
supported The Lawzie Marigold Foundation, our LABS Petition and Running 4 Our Angels 5K! We are
proud to announce, as of February 3rd, 2020, a Landmark Limousine Safety Package has been signed
into law! Thank you Governor Cuomo for hearing US! For more information go to

The Foundation also provides a yearly scholarship to a female senior graduating from high school, a female that is supportive of the worthy causes that are representative of Lauren’s ideals and passions.  This initiative is the way the Foundation keeps a personal and human face on the issue of limousine safety and the celebration of life.   
 
It is with great honor, for the Lawzie Marigold Foundation to sponsor our third Annual 5K “Running 4 Our Angels,” in remembrance of Lauren, Amy, Brittney and Stephanie.  This event will be held on Sunday, April 26th, 2020, at Smithtown High School West, in Smithtown, New York.  A portion of the proceeds will be given in the form of Scholarship Funds that has been established by each family:  the Lawzie Marigold Foundation, the Amy Rose Grabina Foundation, the Schulman Family Scholarship and the Stephanie Belli Whisperette Scholarship.
 

We are anticipating this event to be a huge success.  It is our hope that we can count on your support in terms of in-kind goods/service, sponsorship or monetary donation.
