Pinnacle Trail Challenge

$100 for first place overall men's and women's. $75 for second. $50 for third.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              NOTE!!!!!!!!    DUE TO CONSTRUCTION ON THE ACCESS ROAD LEAVING US WITH NO WAY TO GET THE RUNNERS DOWN AFTER THEY HAVE REACHED THE TOP WE HAVE ALTERED THE RACE TO BE AS FOLLOWS:   THE RACE WILL BEGIN AT THE TOURIST INFORMATION CENTER AND AND CONTINUE UP THE TRAIL TO MILE MARKER 2 WHERE THE PARTICIPANTS WILL TURN AROUND AND RACE BACK TO THE TOURIST CENTER.  WE ARE SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS MAY CAUSE.

The race distance will be 5 miles with a 6% grade for most of the trail. This race will also have a hunger hike that starts at 9:00.  This event will take place on Town of Unicoi property and the U.S National Forest property.The starting line and registration area for this event is the Town of Unicoi Tourist Information Center located immediately off  I26 Exit 32.  The Hunger Hike is FREE! . Participants are asked to bring a canned food donation for Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee.  Hunger Hike which starts at 9:00 is not timed. T-Shirts to families provided on first come first serve basis. Families are not required to register just show up.
