NOTE: Last Chance Registration will be the morning of the race. You must show your payment receipt at check in to receive your bib and giveaway.

A wintertime race to remember! There are two races to choose from: the Coed Recreational and the Coed Competitive.

FORMAT: Each race has a separate start time and will take up to 120 participants. Race bibs and giveaways will be available at the starting line approximately 20 minutes before each race. The course will be 2.5 miles in length on the woodchip/dirt/gravel trails at Big Cross in Pasco.

TEAMS: We encourage participants to create teams and your own unique team uniforms to add to the atmosphere of the event.  We will keep track of and score teams as in a regular Cross Country meet with first 5 team members scoring. This is for spirit and for bragging rights as we will publish the team results.

SPECTATORS: Spectators may view the race from the designated spectator areas and/or along the course. They must however stay out of the start & finish area and avoid crossing over the race path when a race is in progress.

VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers are needed, if interested in helping as a volunteer for set-up, course monitoring, or at the start/finish line please contact kubalekb@pasco-wa.gov.

All runners, spectators and volunteers should stay home if sick.

GLOVES: This year all participants will receive race logo gloves.

In-person registration is available at the Recreation Services offices in Pasco CIty Hall, 525 N. 3rd Ave., Pasco, until 4:00pm Thursday, January 25.

As participants arrive they should proceed to their assigned start position, where they will find their race packet including bib, safety pins, and commemorative race logo gloves in a bowl of the color and number that corresponds to their packet pickup number. Race packets will be ready and available for pickup at the starting line 20 minutes prior to your specific race start time. The race bib must be secured in front, on the middle of the chest, so that it is completely visible.

Race Course

This course is run on wood chip & gravel trails and incorporates 4 good hill climbs and descents, together with some smaller hills and flat sections.

Safety Considerations

Hopefully this will answer any questions.

Weather: Weather at this time of year can vary greatly. Please watch the weather and dress appropriately in layers.

Start times for the race:  Runners will be assigned a starting position that corresponds to their assigned packet pickup number. Race packets will be available at the assigned starting position approximately 20 minutes before race time. Although you can arrive earlier to warmup and familiarize yourself with the course, please approach the start line area no earlier than 20 minutes before the start time of your race to give workers the opportunity to prepare packet pickup.

At the Start/Finish: Packet pickup available at start line 20 minutes before race start time. Finisher placement ribbons (Top 10 male and female participants) will be distributed as participants cross the finish line. Upon finishing, participants should proceed through the finish chute then feel free to grab refreshments and drinks available at the finish tent and then proceed to the viewing areas to cheer on the other participants of the race.

Course maps: There will be no printed maps available, so please take a good look at the map above.
