The Clover 5K on April 13, 2024 at 8:30am

Join us for the 4-H Clover 5K at the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Hilliard, Ohio. All funds raised by the 5K run/walk helps to support the 4-H Walk & Serve. By participating in the 5K Run/Walk you are supporting the Franklin County 4-H programs as well as over 10 area non-profit organizations! 

Race T-shirts

Early registration allows time to order the correct number of shirts for all participants. We can only guarantee shirts will be available for those participants who have registered by March 26, 2024.

All registations after 3/26/24, including Race Day registrations, will be considered a NO Race T-shirt option. Please register early to get a race shirt!

Your 2024 entry fee includes:

  • One short sleeve t-shirt (if registered by March 26th)
  • A goodie bag (to the first 100 participants)
  • A “woodal" race medal
  • A breakfast ticket for a made-to-order omelet, fresh fruit and bottled water
  • The satisfaction that you made a difference by supporting the 2024 "Walk & Serve" and over 10 non-profits!

 

Race Packet Pickup

ALL race packets are to be picked up either Thursday, April 11 or Friday, April 12 from 4:00-7:00 pm in the Edwards Building at the Franklin County Fairgrounds. **Packets and t-shirts will not be mailed so make sure you swing by April 11 or 12!  On race morning, packet pickup will begin at 7:30 AM. Race begins at 8:30 AM. 

 

Event Day Schedule

Free parking is available at the fair grounds. Follow the signs and/or parking attendants.

7:30 AM: Packet pick up if not already acquired. $35 if registering on race day.

8:30 AM: Race Begins

• Post race activities: Made-to-order omelette, fresh fruit and bottled water. Volunteers will be the presiding chefs.

9:15 AM: Award Presentation

9:30 AM - Noon: Walk & Serve (*see below)

Expand Your Community Focused Experience by Serving

* The Walk & Serve is from 9:30 a.m. - Noon in the Ganyard and Edwards Buildings on the Franklin County Fair Grounds. Enthusiastic 4-H members will lead you through hands-on activities to create special items for Central Ohio residents/animals served by organizations such as: Ovarian Cancer Alliance, Stitched Together, Birthright International, Cancer Support Community of Central Ohio, Simply Living, Gigi’s Shelter for Dogs, MASH: Military and Service Heroes Food Pantry, American Cancer Society, Operation Evergreen, Blue Star Mothers, Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center, Enduring Hearts, Moms2B, Ohio Nurses Foundation, Hope Ministries, and the Hilliard Food Pantry.

Again this year, we are partnering with Go Green Hilliard, with Hilliard's Environmental Sustainability Commision. The Franklin County Fairgrounds will be hosting the Earth Day Recycling event.

Course Map

The 5K run/walk will start and finish on the track. This is a flat course with a mix of running surfaces, which include the horse track, paved roads, multiuse trail and a section of packed crushed gravel all within the Fairgrounds property.

Awards

Every participant will get a hand-stamped "Woodal" - a real wooden medal.

We'll have medals and awards for the top overall male and female finisher, and the top male and female finishers in each age category: (13 and under, 14-15, 16-17, 18-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over). Results will be posted on this website.
