Drumstick Dash 5K - PATCH & Jack Garrett Ford Race Series

Come out and strut your stuffin' at this year's Drumstick Dash 5K.  Fall is a great time of year to get out and log miles out of the sweltering summer heat.  Getting a 5K notch on the belt right before Thanksgiving makes the turkey taste even better!  Sign-ups will start at 10:00 AM in the parking plaza by McIntosh Hardware Furniture & Appliances who is the title sponsor for the event.  We will be collecting Christmas gifts for our Angel Tree drive for kids.

Course Description: This is an out and back 5K course.  Starting at the parking plaza proceed through the FNB tunnel, then on Market Street to Bowman St.  Follow Bowman St. past Spencer Middle School, then left on Vandale Ave to Armacel.  Cross Locust Ave. (Rt. 14) and proceed past West Main to the traffic light.  At the light turn right and pass People’s Bank.  Proceed straight until reaching Jack Garrett Ford.  At Jack Garrett Ford turn right onto the gravel throughway then left onto West Main St. behind McDonald’s.  At the car wash turn left and rejoin Route 33.  Turn right on 33 and continue straight until you reach the turnaround point in between Dairy Queen and Pizza Hut.  Then retrace all steps back to the finish line at Heritage Park.
