We are so excited to announce that we are holding a Virtual Run to make sure that you get your run in this year! Please join us on December 19 anytime between 5 am and 2 PM to run virtually for this much needed cause!! On race day, we will be utilizing the AccuChip Virtual Scoring Platform which creates an open results' page which allows participants to submit their own virtual times which will be tabulated in realtime along with overall, gender and age group rankings.
Here's what to do on race day. Run, Walk or Roll your distance ... then note your finish time and submit it on the open result page between 5 AM and 2 PM on Saturday, December 19, 2020. Once the countdown clock reaches zero, no more times will be accepted and the race will be finalized.

Our inaugural race celebrates the 30th Anniversary of the signing of the Americans' With Disabilities Act and will lift up local families coping with disabilities. The event features a 5k run/walk/roll (wheelchairs/hand cycles ONLY) and spotlights those with spinal cord injuries and other disabilities. This fun event will have the theme of the 80's, so wear your neon, hair band gear, tutu's, head bands, leg warmers or favorite 80's band shirts and take pictures so that we can post them on our website.
Your support will empower the Coalition for Independent Living Options to hold free summer camps and after-school programs for special needs youth and to build ramps so seniors with disabilities can get in and out of their homes. And, you will help the Achilles International South Florida Chapter, which encourages people with all types of disabilities to participate in mainstream running events in order to promote personal achievement, enhance self-esteem and lower barriers to living a fulfilled life.
We will honor all registrations from our previous 2020 run date and carry that over into our new December 19, 2020 Race Date.
SHIRT ORDERS PLACED BY December 10, 2020 WILL HAVE SHIRT SIZE GUARANTEED. We will do a packet pick up at Run Appeal on Friday, December 18 from 4-6 so that you can have your shirts to wear, your new bib and all will receive a FINISHERS MEDAL!!!! We will send out award medals for all winners 3 deep in each category. If you already have your shirt, you will still want to pick up your Finishers Medal and your new bib number.

REFUND POLICY
This fundraising event will take place rain or shine and registration is nonrefundable. Cancellation of this event will be held at the discretion of the race management team due to weather or unforeseen emergencies.

STEP BY STEP SHOE CHARITY DWYER HIGH SCHOOL
The Step by Step Club at Dwyer High School collects and donates new and gently used shoes, among other things, for local charities. Please join us supporting them by bringing in your gently used shoes or new shoes to donate to their cause.
