Tommy's Run for a Reason

Thomas was a happy, beautiful and wonderful little boy.  In May 2008, at the age of 2, Tommy went to sleep and never woke up.  We still do not know why. Since Tommy was over the age of one year; his passing is not considered Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).  Instead, it belongs to a lesser-known category, Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) that occurs when a healthy child beyond the age of 12 months dies without warning and without a known cause found after a thorough investigation.  

Each year, we host Tommy’s Run for a Reason to celebrate our little boy, raise awareness for SUDC and help bring about a future where no family ever has to experience SUDC again. We are excited to once again host our Annual Tommy’s Run for a Reason on Sunday, October 8, 2017. The event will include a 5K Run and a Family Fun Walk and Cornhole tournament. Children’s activities will include face painting, crafts and games.  A raffle and silent auction will be held. All registered participants will enjoy a catered BBQ lunch, and all children’s activities. If you register before September 15th, a Tommy's Run for a Reason T-shirt will be provided as well. 

All proceeds directly benefit The SUDC Foundation. It is the only organization in the world devoted solely to supporting families and professionals affected by SUDC and advocating for SUDC research to find answers. 

FEES:

Ages 10 and up $30
Ages 9 and under $15

*T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations received through September 15th only.

This system uses "aged based pricing" - if you are registering a child age 9 and under, the registration fees will be computed accordingly upon check out.
