Whether you're looking to sharpen your skills for an upcoming endurance swim or are simply seeking to become comfortable outside chlorine, Epic Races has got the clinic for you! We've teamed up with World Champion Erica Rose Dancik, who will guide you through the ins and outs — and fronts and backs — of open-water swimming. Throughout the course of this special 60-minute seminar at Pinckney Recreation Area's Halfmoon Lake, you'll learn everything from how to start and finish your swim to the different ways to rest in the water... and when not to do this. You'll not only leave feeling better about being in the water but you'll also have your own training plan to prepare you for our Swim to the Moon 5K or 10K race or for any triathlon swim leg.

Looking to get some open-water swimming in, without the pressure of the race? Sign up for our Open-Water Swim Practice, without the clinic! We will have quarter-mile and half-mile courses set up for you. If you wish to swim more than a half mile, you may do multiple laps. A time clock will be running during the swim for you to check your splits and pace. After the swim, hang out and enjoy a light brunch with fellow swimmers and with the Epic Races team. The course will be open for 2.5 hours. Swim for as long or as little as you'd like!
