Description
Please join us for our annual Tonkawa Falls Half and Quarter Marathons. This is a no fee, no t-shirt, no awards kind of race. It’s our way of saying thank you to our club and our running community. The water stops will be self-serve. We will be chip timing the race so even though there are no awards you will still have bragging rights.
Following the run we’ll have a picnic lunch. The Waco Striders and our sponsor, Bush's Chicken, will be supplying the food. Due to our Covid-19 protocol we ask that you don't bring food to share. You may bring your own beverage and any additional food for you family only.
Even though this event is free, we would still like you to register so we can get an accurate estimate for the amount of food needed for the picnic.
There will also be an Easter Egg Hunt for children ten (10) and under. If you plan to participate please bring 12 Easter Eggs. You don't have to participate in the run to attend the picnic and Easter Egg Hunt.
The Tonkawa Half and Quarter Marathon routes are both out and back on paved roads.
Covid-19 Protocol:
- Face masks are not required, but are recommended when not running or eating.
- No walk-up race-day registration table
- Race-day registration only available using your phone
- Social distancing enforced in the race start area (6 ft separation)
- Rolling Start by releasing 4-6 runners at a time
- Our sponsor, Bush's Chicken, will be supplying the food for the picnic, but no drinks. You are asked to bring your own beverage, adult or otherwise.

9:00 a.m. Quarter Marathon Start
11:00 a.m. Give yourself at pat on the back as you finish

12:00 p.m. Easter Egg Hunt
Bicycles are allowed
Since the Half and Quarter Marathons are not going to be competitive races, we don't mind if you or members of your family would rather ride the course on your bicycle. Just be courteous to those that are running and share the road.
Campsites Available
There are campsites and shower facilities available inside Tonkawa Park for those that would like to camp on Friday or Saturday nights.
Tonkawa Falls RV Park is owned and operated by the City of Crawford.
