About the Friends
Friends of the Johnson Public Library is an independent 501(c)(3) organization whose primary purpose is to support and advocate for the library’s mission as the community’s destination for discovery, learning, and making connections, through Fundraising, Advocacy, and Volunteer Work. We are a community volunteer driven organization. Your membership goes a long way in helping the Friends provide the library with:
- Special events for all ages
- Technology and equipment
- Facility improvements
- And more.
In addition to helping to support the Library, Members will receive advance notice of special Friends' events, discounts, and promotions.
Membership Levels
Student
If you are currently a student, you can take advantage of this membership. Join or renew now, and membership will not expire until December 31, 2024.

Individual
This is the basic membership available to individuals. Join or renew now, and membership will not expire until December 31, 2024.

1 Year Membership: $10.00
Household
Household membership includes up to 10 persons in the household. Join or renew now, and membership will not expire until December 31, 2024.

1 Year Membership: $20.00
BFF
For those members who want to do more - BFF membership includes up to 10 persons in a relationship, but in this case "forever" only means to the end of the membership year, December 31, 2024.

Our next events:
May 16: An evening at the Shooting Zone Archery Range in Hackensack
Join the Friends of the Johnson Public Library for a fun evening at the Shooting Zone indoor archery range in Hackensack. No experience required, and beginners are welcome. Participants will receive use of the range for about one hour, including an introduction, and use of all equipment. Suitable for ages 10 and up (accompanied by an adult).
Members of the Friends will receive a $5.00 discount by registering with their Friends' email and up to four people from the same household can sign up for the Household event.
