Event: 5K
The Barkin' River Run 5k & 1k Pet Walk starts and ends on October 1, 2016 at the beautiful Brazos Park East (2000 Martin Luther King Blvd in Waco, TX 76704). The 5K will be professionally timed by Pro-Fit Event Services LLC.
Event t-shirts and goody bags will be available to registrants while supplies last. Register early to get your preferred shirt size!
We'll be there rain or shine. Come join us for a BARKIN' good time! Registration payment is considered a donation and is non-refundable. Children 12 and under are FREE to attend (no goody bag or event T-shirt included). On-site registration and packet pick-up will be held on 10/1/2016 starting at 7:00a and is $30 for all registrations. Cash, check and credit accepted. Packets may also be picked up Friday, September 30, from 4-6pm at PetSmart, 4600 Franklin Ave., Waco TX 76710.
Awards to the overall M/F and top three M/F per age group for the 5K.
Age groups: 12&U, 13-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+
Rules & Conditions
* Leashed dogs are allowed in the 5k portion of the event but dog/handler teams will be required to start AFTER runners without dogs
* Please, only one dog per handler for the 5k Barkin’ River Run & 1k Pet Walk
* All dogs must be on a leash
* No female dogs in heat
* All dogs must be current on vaccinations
* All dogs must wear their current rabies tag
* All dog waste must be picked up by the handler
After the 5k, there will be an awards ceremony. There will also be complimentary light snacks and
beverages at the event for registrants. Information will also be available on low-cost and free spay/neuter services for McLennan County Residents and on Trap-Neuter- Return for Community Cats.
