Spring into Wellness Challenge!

Thu April 1 - Fri April 30 Jefferson County, WA 98325 US Directions

FAQs

What Is It?  The Community Wellness Project's Spring into Wellness Challenge!  This challenge offers everyone in our community an opportunity to create or join a team, set a wellness goal, and work together to meet that goal over a month's time.  Each team will register for the event and then share their goal with friends and family who can sponsor their team with any sized donation.  All funds raised by Spring into Wellness will directly benefit the school gardens and kitchens of Jefferson County Schools as well as our CWP sister school in Tanzania, Emburis Pre & Primary School.

When Is It?  Registration opens the first week of March and continues through April.  The Event begins April 1st and runs through April 30th.  All miles, kilometers, # of push ups, etc. logged between April 1 and April 30 count towards the goal.

Cost?  Registration for adults over 18 is $35.  It's free for those 18 and younger.  We hope that all teams will strive to raise funds through sponsorship of their team.

How Can I Get Involved? Click the Sign Up button on this website.  You will be given an opportunity to either Create or Join a Team.  Follow the instructions from there. Anyone can create a team.  You'll be given a way to easily share the event with friends and you can invite them to join your team to participate in the same type of exercise you're doing, but at their own rate/distance/amount.

Can I Create and Maintain a Team of 1?  Yes, 1 is fine.  Or 100 and anything in between or even above! Teams can continue to grow, even into April, which will mean that team goals will likely grow, too.  This is a wonderful opportunity for already formed teams to work together for a good cause - sports teams, school clubs, churches, book groups, etc. It's also a great way for a new group to form around a common healthy activity and common good cause.

Is There a Benefit to My Recruiting Team Members? Yes!  When you recruit 6 new team members, you will automatically be refunded $20 of your registration fee!

Can I Invite Team Members from Out of Jefferson County?  Yes

Can My Team Work to Reach Our Goal Together, Physically?  Yes, you can, just keep it small group, safe and distanced, according to School, County and State Covid safety protocols.  You can also each participate individually with team spirit.

Will I be able to share my Results with the Entire Event?  Yes, and Photos, too!

What Type of Exercise Can I Choose? The sky's the limit.  Anything that helps move you toward wellness.  Walking, running, team sports, bicycling, paddling, rowing, sailing, climbing stairs, yoga, dancing, Pilates, sit ups push ups, planks, cartwheels, toe raises...

Where do I Register?  You're here.  www.runsignup.com/springintowellness which is also linked to the Community Wellness Project's Website: jccwp.org
