VSU Community 5K Fun Run / Walk

2011 GRAND PRIX EVENT

Course:

 

Course markers will be positioned to provide directions on the day of the race. Race starts at West Hall fountain on Valdosta State University’s main campus and proceeds around the perimeter of main campus. Take right at Brookwood Dr., left at Oak St., right after cemetery onto W. Mary St., right on Sustella Ave., right at P.E. Complex onto Baytree Rd., left at Oak St., and right at Georgia Ave. Halfway down this street, runners will take right into campus and go down and back on pedestrian walkway, right back onto Georgia Ave., right at N. Patterson St. and back to the fountain starting point. Course length is 5K (3.1 miles)

 

 

 

 

  

 

Awards:

 

First, second and third place winners in male and female categories as seen below will recieve prizes. Additional prizes will be raffled off by random drawing after race. T-shirts: In order to be guaranteed a shirt on race day you MUST register by July 31st. All other particiants will come to VSU Campus Recreation to pick up their shirt at a later time.

Entry Fee: Only $12 for VSU students and $15 for all others until August 20. Race day registration is $20 for ALL participants. Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. on race day. Mail checks (payable to VSU Foundations, Inc.) care of Shawn Phippen to VSU Community 5K Fun Run/Walk, Valdosta State University, 1500 N. Patterson St., Valdosta, GA, 31698. Registration also excepted at VSU Student Recreation Center on Sustella Avenue in Valdosta, Georgia.

1st, 2nd, 3rd Places will be awarded in each category
